Laura and Cody got married at Quinta da Bella Vista, a historic estate tucked into the Sintra hills, surrounded by gardens and soft morning light.
Their vows were about a marriage of equals, and a promise to share their love, their respect, their laughter and their tears. Later, in the speeches, their friends called them the most honest couple they had ever met.
I followed the day as it happened: unposed, close and real.
