Angelica and David got married at Casa dos Penedos, a 1920s house by the architect Raul Lino, built into the granite boulders of the Sintra hills.
Stone terraces, wild gardens and soft forest light did most of the work. I stayed quiet and close, filming the day as it happened, without directing.
Their vows carry the film. One line stayed with me: the best part of every day is falling asleep and waking up in each other's arms.
